I tidied the studio and found three forgotten canvases
the studio, a rare moment

Every studio tidy-up ends with me finding something I abandoned halfway.

This time it was three canvases from last winter, turned to the wall. One of them is nearly finished and I do not remember why I stopped.

The second has only a background and one line. I will use it for something new, the background is good.

The third

The third is a mistake from start to finish. I keep it as a reminder of what does not work.

I keep the failures. They come in handier than the successes when I start something new.

The studio stayed tidy for four days, a new personal record.
